in general, i'm open to almost everything. you don't have to ask (but you can if you want!) before you tag me, i'm down with it. i love writing conflict / arguments / debates, philosophical discussions, shippy shit, sad shit, plotty shit, whatever.
my only big nos for solas are fluff (i'm fine with happy / shippy / whatever, i just need a tiny bit of tension) and smut (he has no rizz).
for the canon unfamiliar, solas is an elf mage who has probably told people that he's just a normal hermit guy who lives outdoors. he's friendly if you're friendly / respectful / curious, and he'll be rude if you're rude / unfriendly / prideful. he defaults to a casual sort of condescension toward basically everyone, but it gets worse if you're not an elven mage, an elf, a dwarf, a human, or a nonhuman race that isn't elf / human / dwarf, in roughly that order. regardless of whether he likes you or not, solas is a judgmental fuck who will immediately turn into a scold if you don't meet his high moral standards.
for rooks & other dav characters, solas tends to give what he gets, so solas will be rude with a rude rook and friendly with a friendly rook, sarcastic with a sarcastic rook, etc. he will default to standoffish, however, since the events of dav were not... fun for him. i'm fine with going into au territory, especially where solas was a companion, where he was physically in the lighthouse (but trapped or... whatever), where they got more conversations, it's all good. solas is very much trying to get the measure of rook through testing them (similar to what he does in most of inquisition), but he's more liable to be a bit more harsh / judgemental because uhhh well he doesn't like presenting as The Dread Wolf rather than some schmuck called solas.

i love felassan but i haven't read the masked empire for dragon age protagonists / companions / npcs from games solas isn't in, i'll default to solas as a companion in those games, where he'll be doing the schtick described in for the canon unfamiliar.
